about

Morgan Long has been an aspiring artist since before she can remember. Morgan began using pens and markers at age one and a year later she was creating imitations of her favorite Disney characters. Morgan creates with a passion from her mind, heart, and soul. At age 11 Morgan entered an art contest for Return of the Peregrine Falcon Society and her drawing was used as the cover for a card set called Okanagan Endangered Wildlife. In July of 1999 Morgan was invited to castle Vicopisano by the President of the Italian Art Association in Pisa, Italy. It was a great honor for her to show her artwork in a country where great masters such as Davinci and Raphael showed their work. Then in 2005 Morgan had her paintings on display at the Canadian Pavilion as part of Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan. From 2008 on she has done artwork for the Chris Hart books (best-selling author of illustrated art instruction books) series

She currently works as Lead Artist for Disney's Club Penguin. Morgan sees herself as a fortunate and gifted artist and wants the world to see her in the same light. Her canvases are dense, complex, and expressionistic. Each painting has a story to go with it. Some of them concern adolescent themes, but her best canvases hint of Chagall and Pollock, and viewers must remind themselves that these are the works of a young girl. Morgan’s talent is beyond her years. “I hope people recognize that fact that I’m a serious artist,” Morgan said. “They think I’m not because I’m young. But like Mozart, who composed music when he was very young, I began to draw when I was very young, too.”
